Merchandiser (Union)
About The Position
The Merchandiser ensures Swire Coca-Cola customer locations are properly stocked and products are rotated according to company standards. The role supports customer satisfaction by maintaining back rooms, beverage sections, displays, coolers, and other points of product availability throughout assigned stores. Merchandisers develop and preserve internal and external customer relationships while representing Swire Coca-Cola. The schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime and weekends required. The role involves traveling to stores on assigned routes using a reliable personal vehicle; the employee is not responsible for transporting company products.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license; driving record must meet Swire's vehicle policy requirements.
- Ability to use a reliable vehicle to travel to stores on assigned routes and maintain business-use vehicle insurance; transporting company products is not required.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
Responsibilities
- Use technology and applications as required throughout the day.
- Clean and organize shelves and/or aisles each day using customer cleaning equipment to provide a safe environment for consumers.
- Restock coolers, displays, racks, and shelves daily, with labels facing outward.
- Rotate products using a first-in, first-out system to ensure product quality.
- Build displays and promotional items in assigned stores by moving, stacking, and assembling items according to instructions and the schedule set by the supervisor and store management.
- Maintain and organize back rooms and back-stock areas so they are safely accessible.
- Prepare credited products that are unfit for sale for return within assigned stores daily.
- Attend assigned meetings and assist with special projects and events.
