About The Position

The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and showcase Hallmark products, manage inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-market stores, and may occasionally include working with other companies’ products. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. This part-time role averages 10–12 hours per week, with a variable work-week schedule and additional hours during seasonal periods.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, and to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in assigned stores, both within and outside Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and other required activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support seasonal demand with additional workdays and extended hours before and after major holidays; work on certain holidays may be required.
• Assist with seasonal resets, installations, fixture building, department relocations, and card-section resets, including evening or weekend assignments when needed.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as part of Hallmark’s field organization.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
