The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. The role collaborates with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the role may also involve working with other companies’ products in serviced stores. The work includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication. Merchandisers are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at their assigned stores and interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Seasonal periods bring additional workdays and extended hours; some holiday work may be required. Reset assignments may involve building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. This is a part-time position averaging 10–12 hours per week, with a variable workweek schedule. The starting pay rate is $16.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Employees scheduled fewer than 30 hours per week have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The job is physically demanding and involves work on sales floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 30 pounds and occasional handling of items up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.
