About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in retail stores, showcasing organizational and time-management skills while building retailer relationships and representing Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may assist fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark product displays; seasonal holiday support; and participating in department resets, installations, and remodels. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities and communications. The position has a variable work-week schedule averaging 7–11 hours per week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around holidays and seasonal changeovers. The job involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms, with frequent lifting and other physical activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and potentially climb stairs and step ladders.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Have availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and interpreting work information.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around major holidays, including additional workdays and extended hours; work on certain holidays when required.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories when needed.
