As a Hallmark Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. You perform service work in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. The role includes day-to-day engagement, holiday support, and department resets. Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products in and outside the Hallmark department; communicate with your supervisor; report time; provide feedback; and complete surveys for required merchandising activities. Courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. Hallmark’s seasonal demand may bring additional workdays and extended hours around major holidays. At times, you may join a team building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Merchandisers may also support other team members in their territories as needed. This part-time role has a variable work-week schedule and averages 8–13 hours per week. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and occasional handling of up to 50 pounds. The work also involves kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.
