Merchandise Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise operations, including processing, placement, maintenance, and fulfillment. The role works under the leadership of and reports to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager. It involves processing incoming merchandise, presenting and maintaining merchandise on the selling floor, and locating and fulfilling customer orders. Associates may also assist with other store projects, floor recovery, and supply replenishment. The position requires customer service, physical handling of merchandise, use of computers and store technology, and schedule flexibility based on business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to lift cartons and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts.
- Ability to maintain merchandising standards on the sales floor in compliance with Visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PCs, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Valid state driver’s license meeting applicable standards when driving a company vehicle at select locations.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards in accordance with direction and Visual standards.
- Assist with other store projects as needed, including replenishing merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate merchandise in the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Drive a company vehicle as needed at select store locations, in accordance with state driver’s license standards.
