Merchandise Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate supports the daily operations of merchandise, including processing, placement, maintenance, and fulfillment, under the leadership of and reporting to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager. The role includes processing inbound merchandise and presenting it on the selling floor in accordance with merchandising and visual standards, as well as locating merchandise and completing customer orders. Associates may also assist with floor recovery, merchandise replenishment, and other store projects. The position requires providing excellent customer service and adapting to business needs and assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts.
- Ability to maintain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PCs, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule according to business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed at select locations, in accordance with applicable state driver’s license standards.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards in accordance with direction and Visual standards.
- Assist with store projects as needed, including filling merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate requested merchandise in the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Complete other ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Drive a company vehicle as needed at select locations, in accordance with state driver’s license standards.
