Merchandise Operations Associate - PT
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate supports the daily operations of merchandise, including processing, placement, maintenance, and fulfillment. The role works under the leadership of and reports to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager. The associate processes inbound merchandise and places and presents merchandise on the selling floor, maintaining placement and presentation standards. They also locate merchandise requested by customers and complete customer orders, provide responsive customer service, and assist with other store projects and ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to lift cartons, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to retain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PCs, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed in accordance with applicable state driver’s license standards.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards in accordance with Visual standards.
- Participate in other store projects as needed, including replenishing merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate requested merchandise within the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to customer needs.
- Handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Drive a company vehicle as needed at select locations.
