Merchandise Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate assists with stocking, receiving, order fulfillment, and merchandise handling, including maintaining merchandise organization. This role performs daily operational tasks to support store sales and profitability and enhance the customer experience. The associate reports to the RPSO Manager and works in a Neiman Marcus store location. The role includes merchandise handling and inventory control, fulfillment and shipping, stockroom organization, merchandise placement and reticketing, and helping set up sale events, signage, and in-store activations. The associate follows safety procedures on the dock and in other work areas. The position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Flexibility in managing competing tasks and a 'win together' mentality.
- Basic proficiency with the MS Office Product Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Some roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily store operations and assist leads and managers.
- Handle merchandise, transfers, and inbound and outbound freight processing.
- Fulfill, pack, and ship online and store customer orders.
- Complete merchandise placements to ensure merchandise standards are followed.
- Process merchandise price changes and reticketing; sign and move products once marked.
- Process reticketing, damages, mark-outs of stock, and related inventory controls.
- Back-stock merchandise and maintain stockroom organization.
- Under the guidance of managers and Visual, merchandise products and set sale events and signage according to standards.
- Support setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
