Merchandise Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate assists with stocking, receiving, order fulfillment, merchandise handling, and maintaining merchandise organization. The role performs daily operational tasks that support store sales and profitability and enhance the customer experience. The associate reports to the RPSO Manager and works in a Neiman Marcus store location. The position includes handling merchandise and freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, maintaining merchandise standards and inventory records, organizing the stockroom, supporting merchandising and sale events, and helping set up and take down in-store events. The associate must follow safety procedures in the dock and all other work areas. The schedule is flexible based on business needs and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Flexibility in managing competing tasks and a “win together” mentality.
- Basic proficiency with the MS Office Product Suite.
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
- Must work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily store operations and assist leads and managers.
- Handle merchandise and transfers and process inbound and outbound freight.
- Fulfill, pack, and ship online and store customer orders.
- Place merchandise as needed to ensure merchandise standards are followed.
- Complete merchandise price changes and reticketing; sign and move product once marked.
- Process reticketing, damages, mark-outs of stock, and related inventory control tasks.
- Back-stock merchandise and maintain stockroom organization.
- Under the guidance of managers and Visual, merchandise products and set sale events and signage while ensuring standards are followed.
- Support setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
