Merchandise Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
As a Merchandise Operations Associate, you assist with stocking, receiving, order fulfillment, and merchandise handling, including maintaining merchandise organization. You perform daily operational tasks that support store sales and profitability and enhance the customer experience. The role reports to the RPSO Manager and is based in a Neiman Marcus store location. You complete store operations such as handling merchandise, processing transfers and inbound/outbound freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and maintaining stockroom organization. You also support merchandise placement, price changes, reticketing, inventory control, sale events, signage, and in-store event setup and takedown, following safety procedures in the dock and other work areas.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience.
- Flexibility in managing competing tasks and a “win together” mentality.
- Basic proficiency with the MS Office Product Suite.
- Work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily store operations and support leads and managers.
- Handle merchandise and process transfers and inbound and outbound freight.
- Fulfill, pack, and ship online and store customer orders.
- Place merchandise to ensure merchandise standards are followed.
- Complete merchandise price changes and reticketing, and move and sign product once marked.
- Process reticketing, damages, mark-outs of stock, and related inventory-control tasks.
- Back-stock merchandise and maintain stockroom organization.
- Under the guidance of managers and Visual, merchandise products and set sale events and signage while following standards.
- Support setup and takedown of in-store events and activations.
- Follow safety procedures on the dock and in all other work areas.
