About The Position

Prairie St. John’s is hiring a full-time Mental Health Technician to work directly with patients, providing support and hope at its 132-bed behavioral health facility. The role is described as a foundation for people interested in developing careers in nursing, therapy, social work, or substance use disorders. The position offers 40 hours per week, a repeating two-week schedule, and opportunities to work overtime or cover other shifts if interested. The PM shift is listed as 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered to full-time employees.

Prairie St. John’s provides behavioral health and substance use services for children, adolescents, and adults, including inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and serves more than 4,000 patients annually.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in a health care setting or group setting such as day care, school, group homes, or residential facilities.
