About The Position
The Mental Health Technician assists professional nursing personnel in caring for patients while supporting their safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations, and assisting with groups, calls, and treatment planning as needed to contribute to the smooth running of the unit. The position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Annual training in management of aggressive patients is required.
- Two years of experience in a mental health-related field with direct patient care responsibilities is required.
