About The Position

The Mental Health Technician works in a highly technical, fast-paced, and rewarding setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care. The role assists professional nursing personnel while supporting patient safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment. Duties include helping with activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations, assisting with groups and calls, and supporting treatment planning as needed to help the unit run smoothly.

Requirements

• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Annual training in management of aggressive patients is required.
• Two years of experience in a mental health-related field with direct patient care responsibilities is required.
