About The Position

The Mental Health Technician is an assistive person who aids patients with activities of daily living and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. This is a full-time day-shift position in Adult Psych at North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Requirements

• Obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate within six months of hire.
• Have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain it.
• Possess knowledge of medical terminology.
• Obtain a current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.
