About The Position

The Certified Mental Health Technician is a licensed assistive person who, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit, assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care, performs assigned clerical duties, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role is performed in accordance with Nursing Structure Standards, hospital and nursing policies, and state regulatory and accrediting requirements. This position is with North Vista Hospital’s Adult Psych unit in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a full-time night-shift role.

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire and maintained as current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained as current.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained as current.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office is preferred.

Responsibilities
