About The Position
At North Vista Hospital, the Mental Health Technician is an assistive person who helps patients with activities of daily living and supports maintenance of a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. North Vista Hospital is a 177-bed hospital in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and is part of Prime Healthcare. The hospital provides mental health and other healthcare services.
Requirements
- Obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate within six months of hire.
- Have current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain it.
- Possess knowledge of medical terminology.
- Obtain a current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.
