About The Position
At North Vista Hospital, the Certified Mental Health Technician is a licensed assistive person who works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The role assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care and assigned clerical support, and helps maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with Nursing Structure Standards, hospital and nursing policies, and applicable state regulatory and accrediting requirements. Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
