About The Position
The Mental Health Technician is an assistive person who aids patients with activities of daily living and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Requirements
- Obtain a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate within six months of hire.
- Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Possess knowledge of medical terminology.
- Obtain a Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintain it current.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.
