About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner works with residents in a memory care neighborhood to create human connections, learn about residents’ interests and abilities, and support engagement plans with patience. The role helps create a welcoming environment throughout the day, from preparing dining and event spaces to supporting residents’ nighttime routines, and partners with residents across their daily activities. The position also involves documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time position at Vitalia Solon in Solon, Ohio. The schedule alternates between Monday, Saturday, and Sunday one week and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday the next, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$24.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connections with residents and demonstrate empathy during vulnerable moments.
Learn residents’ interests and abilities, collaborate on appropriate engagement plans, and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare and arrange resident and community spaces for daily activities, meals, events, and nighttime routines.
Partner with residents to support their daily activities from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
