About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Homemaker to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community in Copley, Ohio. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $17.75-$18.50 per hour. The role involves creating a welcoming and tidy environment for residents in memory care, assisting with family-style dining, ensuring residents receive snacks and hydration, and engaging residents in meaningful activities. We are looking for individuals who are at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, are professional in appearance and conduct, can communicate effectively in English, have a positive and energetic attitude, and are physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to assist residents with mobility and after falls is also required, along with criminal clearance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Shall have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Shall be professional in appearance and conduct.
  • Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for creating an atmosphere in memory care that is inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy in all apartments and common area spaces.
  • Be present in the dining room to prepare and serve family-style dining, guiding the residents to be a part of their own experience by setting the tables and cleaning up together after as a family.
  • Be responsible to ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
  • Be extra hands in the Neighborhood to engage residents and provide meaningful experiences.
