About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care, observing residents to understand their needs and interests, creating engaging environments, and assisting residents with daily life activities. The role requires excellent documentation skills and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods. The starting wage is $18.50-$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments through empathy.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
