About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Homemaker to join our team at Barrymore located in Kansas City, MO. This full-time position is responsible for creating a welcoming, comfortable, and tidy atmosphere in the memory care unit, ensuring residents have positive dining experiences, and engaging them in meaningful activities. The role involves assisting residents with daily needs and ensuring their overall well-being in a homelike environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Create an inviting, comfortable, homelike, and tidy atmosphere in memory care apartments and common areas.
• Prepare and serve family-style dining in the dining room.
• Guide residents to participate in mealtime experiences, including setting tables and cleaning up together.
• Ensure all residents are guided to snacks and hydration three times a day.
• Engage residents and provide meaningful experiences as extra hands in the Neighborhood.
