About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a motivated Member Services Representative (MSR) to provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests, and help create an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience. The MSR is the first point of contact for members and guests and supports membership inquiries and transactions while helping maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming club environment. The position is on-site and reports to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. The role includes greeting and assisting members, sharing information about memberships and amenities, supporting tours and sign-ups, and handling front desk transactions and communications. The MSR also helps maintain club cleanliness and safety by completing assigned cleaning duties and keeping facility areas and equipment organized. This is an hourly, non-exempt position paying $13.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a National Sex Offender Registry search; continued employment depends on a satisfactory background check. The employee must obtain and maintain CPR/AED and tanning certifications within company-required timeframes and be physically able to perform CPR/AED in an emergency. The work takes place indoors, with possible exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and gym equipment. It involves prolonged standing and walking and may require frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work on-site; the position is not remote.
Must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry search; continued employment is based on a satisfactory background-check outcome.
Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required timeframes and be physically able to perform CPR/AED in an emergency.
Must obtain tanning certification within company-required timeframes.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns.
Assist members with account inquiries, account changes, and billing questions.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships and amenities and assist potential members with tours and sign-ups.
Promote and explain current membership specials and upgrades, including the Black Card membership.
Work toward membership and customer-service goals.
Check members into the club using the point-of-sale system.
Answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process new memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow assigned opening and closing procedures.
Inform the Assistant Manager or General Manager when issues arise.
Perform assigned cleaning duties and help maintain clean restrooms, locker rooms, workout areas, and other club spaces.
Return weights to the appropriate rack areas and regularly walk the floor to keep the club clean, organized, and safe.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
