About The Position

Excel Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise group, is hiring a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience through excellent customer service and facility cleanliness. The role includes checking members into the system, showing prospective members around the club and helping them sign up, updating member accounts, and responding professionally and promptly to questions and concerns. Issues should be elevated to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed. The representative also performs detailed cleaning, closes the facility shift, and prepares a bank deposit for the next day.

This position works overnight, with the advertised shift listed as 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The role involves continual standing, walking, and talking, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and occasional contact with commercial cleaning products. Team Players are required to wear masks while in the club, and members must follow applicable state and local mask mandates. The company also describes touchless check-in and protocols to sanitize equipment and facilities and encourage safe distancing.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work overnight (third shift).

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Check members into the system.
• Give prospective members tours and assist them with the new-account sign-up process.
• Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

• Create a bank deposit for the next day.
