Member Services Representative 6am-2pm
About The Position
Excel Fitness is a Planet Fitness franchise group based in Austin, Texas, with more than 90 clubs across six states. Member Services Representatives work at the front desk and help create a positive member experience by providing customer service and maintaining cleanliness. This posting specifies a 6am–2pm shift. The role includes checking members into the system, taking prospective members on tours and assisting with new-account sign-ups, facilitating account updates, responding to questions and concerns, and cleaning all areas of the facility. Representatives should refer issues to an Assistant Manager or Manager when needed. The company describes safety and cleaning protocols that include team members wearing masks in-club, touchless member check-in, and sanitizing equipment and facilities. The position involves continual standing, walking, and talking, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and occasional contact with commercial cleaning products.
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Continual standing and walking during the shift.
- Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during the shift.

Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
- Check members into the system.
- Take prospective members on tours and assist them with the new account sign-up process.
- Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating them to an Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
- Perform detailed cleaning in all areas of the facility.
- Wear a mask while in the club, as required for team players.
- Support touchless check-in and safe-distance practices.
