About The Position

Excel Fitness is a Planet Fitness franchise group based in Austin, Texas, with more than 130 clubs. Member Services Representatives work at the front desk and help create a positive member experience through excellent customer service and facility cleanliness. This role is an overnight position and includes closing duties for the business day.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work third shift (overnights).
• Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
• Ability to talk continually, in person or by phone, during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter commercial cleaning products during the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Check members into the system.
• Give prospective members tours and assist them with the new-account sign-up process.
• Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Perform detailed cleaning throughout the facility.
• Close the shift for the business day.
• Prepare a bank deposit for the next day.
