About The Position

The Overnight Custodian / Member Services Representative is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and providing a high level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. Because the facility is open 24/7, the position combines custodial and member services duties on the 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. shift. Team members are expected to follow health and safety policies, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors, and work safely.

Requirements

Ability to work the third shift, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer and point-of-sale proficiency.
Willingness to become CPR/AED certified; training is provided by Planet Fitness.
Ability to stand and walk continually during an eight-hour shift.
Ability to reach continually with hands, fingers, and arms during the shift.
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, twist, kneel, and crouch in small areas.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to occasionally move and reposition heavy exercise equipment.
Ability to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.

Nice To Haves

Custodial experience.
Some experience in a customer service environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, shower and changing stalls, toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and lockers.
Clean, organize, and restock locker maintenance rooms.
Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and the gym floor, including using a floor scrubber, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and sanitize Black Card Spa equipment and surrounding areas, including tanning beds, hydromassage beds, massage chairs, walls, doors, and floors.
Clean and restock storage and maintenance areas, including supplies and cleaning products.
Empty facility trash receptacles and dispose of trash.
Dust fans, walls, ceilings, ceiling tiles, and signage.
Stock facility areas with appropriate supplies and paper products.
Perform basic maintenance repairs and promptly address facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment and leaky faucets.
Greet members, prospective members, and guests as they enter and exit, and assist with questions and concerns.
Perform membership functions, including sign-ups, contact and billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, membership transfers, and retail transactions.
Answer calls courteously and assist callers with questions.
Make prospective-member calls and conduct facility tours when needed, assessing prospective members' needs.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Help ensure the safety of members, team members, and club property.
Follow applicable health and safety policies and protocols, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors, and perform work safely.
