About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role provides exceptional customer service and supports a positive “Judgement Free Zone®” experience through friendly, professional interactions and knowledge of club culture, policies, and procedures. The position is on-site and full-time overnight. Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. The MSR handles membership inquiries and transactions, assists with tours and sign-ups, promotes membership options, and supports front desk operations. The role also includes maintaining a clean, comfortable, organized, and safe facility by completing cleaning duties during the shift. Overnight MSRs must complete a background check, including national criminal, sex offender registry, security/terrorist watch list, and county criminal searches. Continued employment depends on a satisfactory result. Employees must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification and obtain tanning certification within company-required timeframes. Compensation is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must work on-site; the position is not remote.
Must submit to the required background check; continued employment depends on a satisfactory outcome.
Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within company-required timeframes and be physically able to perform CPR/AED during a medical emergency.
Must obtain tanning certification within company-required timeframes.

Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns.
Assist members with account inquiries, account changes, and billing questions.
Explain Planet Fitness memberships and amenities, give tours, assist with sign-ups, and promote membership specials and upgrades.
Meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
Check members into the club using the POS system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process new memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Inform the Assistant Manager or General Manager of issues as needed.
Perform assigned cleaning duties and help maintain restrooms, locker rooms, workout areas, and other club spaces.
Return weights to their designated rack areas and regularly walk the floor to keep the club clean, organized, and safe.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
Obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification and obtain tanning certification within required timeframes.
