About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. This on-site, part-time overnight role provides exceptional customer service, handles membership inquiries and transactions, and helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and friendly Judgement Free Zone. The MSR supports a positive member experience through professional interactions and knowledge of club culture, policies, and procedures. The role includes greeting and assisting members, answering questions about accounts and billing, explaining memberships and amenities, supporting tours and sign-ups, processing transactions, answering phones, and completing assigned front desk and cleaning duties. Overnight MSRs must pass the stated background check and obtain and maintain CPR/AED and tanning certifications within company-required time frames.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work on-site; the position is not remote.
Must submit to a background check consisting of a National Criminal Scan, National Sex Offender Registry, National Security/Terrorist Watch List, and County Criminal Search; continued employment depends on a satisfactory result.
Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within required time frames and maintain the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in a medical emergency.
Must obtain Tanning Certification within the company-required time frame.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a club fitness setting.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to questions and concerns.
Assist members with account inquiries, account changes, and billing questions.
Provide information about memberships and amenities, assist with tours and sign-ups, and explain current specials and upgrades.
Meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
Check members into the club’s POS system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
Accurately process memberships, cancellations, and payments.
Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Inform the Assistant Manager or General Manager if member issues arise.
Perform assigned cleaning duties and help keep restrooms, locker rooms, workout areas, and the rest of the facility clean and neat.
Return weights to their appropriate rack areas and regularly walk the floor to ensure it is clean, organized, and safe.
Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
