About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is responsible for creating and maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that makes Planet Fitness unique. The role offers opportunities for personal development, leadership, organization, and career growth while helping improve members’ lives. The company promotes from within, and many managers began in this role. The representative serves members, prospective members, and guests; supports front-desk operations; and helps promote memberships and tanning lotions.

Requirements

Customer service background preferred.
Basic computer proficiency.
Passion for fitness and health.
Upbeat and positive attitude.
Sales experience.
Punctuality and reliability.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem-solve.
Demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Enforce the Judgement Free Zone and maintain a courteous, positive demeanor.
Take prospective members on tours.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, signing up new members, helping members download the PF Mobile App, and facilitating updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager when needed.
Complete assigned cleaning areas.
Promote sales of tanning lotions and memberships.
Build connections with the community.
