About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for members and guests and helps provide a positive member experience through friendly, professional service. The role handles membership inquiries and transactions, supports membership sales, and helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming club environment. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to perform the physical demands described, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and to perform CPR and operate equipment as needed.
• Ability to verbally communicate in person and by phone.
• Normal vision and hearing, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working in a fitness club setting.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide outstanding customer service and respond promptly and courteously to member questions and concerns.
• Assist members with account inquiries, changes, and billing questions.
• Provide information about memberships and amenities, give tours, assist with sign-ups, and explain current membership specials and upgrades.
• Meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
• Check members into the system using the club’s POS system and answer phones professionally and efficiently.
• Process new memberships, cancellations, and payments accurately.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Inform the Assistant Manager or General Manager of issues as they arise.
• Perform assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift, including cleaning restrooms, locker rooms, and workout areas.
• Return weights to the appropriate rack areas and regularly walk the floor to keep the club clean, organized, and safe.
• Refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.
