About The Position

The Cottages Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to support residents in its small, residential-style communities. Caregivers help residents feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for, while building meaningful relationships through companionship, conversation, and activities. Experience is preferred but not required; comprehensive training is provided. The Cottages emphasizes teamwork, accountability, gratitude, trust, optimism, personal responsibility, and excellence, with a commitment to treating residents and employees with respect.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years of age.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to follow instructions, company policies, and resident care plans.
Successful completion of required criminal background screening.
Successful completion of a post-offer drug screening.
Genuine desire to provide compassionate, quality care.
Dependability, compassion, patience, a positive attitude, honesty, integrity, respect, and a team-oriented approach.
Willingness to learn, accept training and feedback, and pursue professional growth.
Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
Provide medication assistance as trained and authorized.
Support residents with walking, mobility, and daily activities.
Prepare and serve home-cooked meals.
Assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
Monitor resident safety and well-being.
Build meaningful relationships with residents through conversation, companionship, and activities.
Work with the team to create a positive, welcoming home for residents.
Follow resident care plans, instructions, company policies, and safety procedures.
