About The Position

As a Member Service Specialist (Teller/Customer Service) at SCCU’s Lake Washington Branch, you will assist members with deposits, loans, and new account processing. You will assess member needs, recommend suitable SCCU products and services, and resolve issues efficiently. The role involves delivering complete member service, maintaining accurate transactions and account records, and helping ensure an efficient branch lobby. The position is full-time and follows branch operating hours, with alternating Saturday shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–6+ months of customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet established sales and service goals through effective sales and service skills.
• Consult with members about SCCU products and services and recommend additional offerings that meet their needs.
• Periodically serve as floor manager by assessing walk-in members’ needs, directing them to appropriate information sources, and supporting lobby efficiency while minimizing wait times.
• Perform transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and sales of monetary instruments.
• Accurately balance cash, monetary instruments, and daily work to maintain member account integrity.
• Service existing deposit and loan accounts, assist with transactions and account maintenance, and meet or exceed member expectations.
• Master and effectively use the computer terminal, online system, and required commands, including general ledger fee and transaction codes, to produce error-free work.
