About The Position

As a Member Service Specialist (Teller/Customer Service) at Space Coast Credit Union’s Hialeah Branch, you will assist members with deposits, loans, and new account processing. You will assess member needs, recommend suitable SCCU products and services, and resolve issues efficiently. The role combines member service, sales, transaction processing, account maintenance, and cash balancing. It is full-time during branch operating hours, with alternating Saturday rotations. Positions are eligible for promotion after 12 months, and SCCU offers on-the-job training and opportunities for internal advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 0–6+ months of customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet established sales and service goals by demonstrating effective sales and service skills.
• Consult with members about SCCU products and services and recommend additional offerings based on their needs.
• Periodically serve as floor manager, assess walk-in members’ needs, direct them to appropriate resources, and support lobby efficiency while minimizing wait times.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and sales of monetary instruments.
• Accurately balance cash, monetary instruments, and daily work to maintain member account integrity.
• Service existing deposit and loan accounts, assist with transactions and account maintenance, and meet or exceed member expectations.
• Use the computer terminal, online system, commands, and general ledger fee and transaction codes to produce accurate work.
