About The Position

As a Member Service Specialist (Teller/Customer Service) at the NW 36th Street Branch, you will provide exceptional service to credit union members by assisting with deposits, loans, and new account processing. You will assess member needs, recommend appropriate SCCU products and services, and resolve issues efficiently. The position involves processing financial transactions, maintaining accounts, balancing cash and monetary instruments, and helping members navigate the branch. The role is full-time during branch operating hours, with Saturdays worked on an alternating rotation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–6+ months of customer service and/or cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet established sales and service goals by consistently demonstrating effective sales and service skills.
• Consult with members about SCCU products and services and recommend additional offerings based on their needs.
• Periodically serve as floor manager by assessing walk-in members’ needs, directing them to appropriate resources, maintaining lobby efficiency, and minimizing wait times.
• Perform transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and sales of monetary instruments.
• Accurately balance cash, monetary instruments, and daily work to maintain member account integrity.
• Service existing deposit and loan accounts and assist members with transactions and account maintenance.
• Use the computer terminal, online system, commands, general ledger fee codes, and transaction codes to produce accurate work.
