About The Position

As a Member Service Specialist (Teller/Customer Service) at the NW 36th Street Branch, you will assist members with deposits, loans, and new account processing. You will assess member needs, recommend relevant SCCU products, and resolve issues efficiently. The role focuses on exceptional member service, accurate transactions, and helping maintain an efficient branch lobby.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 0–6+ months of customer service and/or cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet established sales and service goals by consistently demonstrating effective sales and service skills.
• Consult with members about SCCU products and services and recommend additional offerings based on their needs.
• Periodically serve as floor manager, assessing walk-in members’ needs and directing them to appropriate information sources while maintaining lobby efficiency and minimizing wait times.
• Perform deposits, withdrawals, payments, and sales of monetary instruments.
• Accurately balance cash, monetary instruments, and daily work to maintain member account integrity.
• Service existing deposit and loan accounts and assist members with transactions and account maintenance.
• Master and effectively use the computer terminal, online system, and required commands, including general ledger fee and transaction codes, to produce accurate work.
