About The Position

The Member Experience Associate delivers outstanding service and value to AAA Members through personal, attentive service and by meeting Member needs across multiple branch locations. This is an onsite role based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with assignments rotating among branches according to business needs. Associates are individual contributors who support branch success and are accountable for achieving individual sales targets. The role requires customer service orientation, adaptability, active listening, and the ability to learn and adjust to different products, services, systems, teams, and branch environments. The associate handles Member services and product sales, using consultative sales techniques to identify needs, recommend solutions, and close opportunities. Work may span Member Experience, Member Services, Concierge, DMV/MVD, Auto Travel, unlicensed insurance services, and Smart Home Security, depending on branch needs. The associate promotes AAA products and services, reinforces the value of Membership, and follows standard operating procedures and compliance requirements. Pay is $21 per hour plus commission. Availability for rotating Saturdays is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two to four years of work experience, including at least one year in a sales role.
Sales experience is required.
Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving ability, and a professional, friendly attitude.
Ability to meet or exceed sales goals, identify customer-specific needs, generate sales, and retain existing business.
Active listening, adaptability, and strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style and work effectively with different branch teams and Member bases.
Proficiency with multiple computer systems and applications, and ability to learn different system configurations or processes quickly.
Ability to learn AAA products, services, and operations and demonstrate fiduciary accountability.
Ability to follow and implement standard operating procedures and maintain compliance.
Adaptability, willingness to travel, and flexibility to cover shifts at multiple locations.
Current and valid driver's license.
Availability to work rotating Saturdays and in different branch locations.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift up to 15 pounds; extended periods at a desk or computer workstation may be required.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated success working with defined sales standards and goals and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Customer service experience.
Experience in insurance, retail, hospitality, service industries, or call centers.

Responsibilities

Deliver personal, professional service and value to Members across multiple branch locations.
Handle Member services and product sales, potentially across Member Experience, Member Services, Concierge, DMV/MVD, Auto Travel, unlicensed insurance services, and Smart Home Security.
Meet individual sales goals and contribute to branch goals by promoting AAA products and services.
Use consultative sales techniques to uncover Member needs, present relevant solutions, and close sales opportunities.
Identify and recommend solutions tailored to Member needs and adapt service to different branch environments.
Build product and service knowledge and adjust to varying computer systems, applications, processes, branch teams, and Member bases.
Follow standard operating procedures, compliance requirements, and operational processes at assigned branches.
Work flexibly across locations and cover shifts as business needs require.
Travel regularly between branch locations and attend business meetings as needed.
