About The Position

The Weigand Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Member Enrollment Specialist to guide prospective members through the enrollment process, provide tours, and foster relationships that connect people to the YMCA, fellow members, and programs suited to their individual needs. The role is based at the Weigand Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the listed schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 16 years old and a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Effective communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
• Commitment to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic relationships with members and help connect them with other members and staff.
• Promote programs and events to members and the community.
• Conduct interviews and tours with prospective members.
• Enroll and register new members in programs.
