About The Position

The Weigand Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Membership Enrollment Specialist to guide prospective members through enrollment, provide tours, and build relationships that connect people with the YMCA, fellow members, and programs suited to their needs. The role helps create a welcoming, inclusive environment and supports the YMCA’s mission, culture, and values.

The position is based at the Weigand Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The listed schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Effective communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
• Commitment to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.

Responsibilities

• Build effective, authentic relationships with members and help them connect with other members and staff.
• Promote YMCA programs and events to members and the community.
• Conduct interviews and tours with prospective members.
• Enroll and register new members in programs.
