Member Assist Cart Attendant - New Location: Katy, TX
About The Position
The Member Assist Cart Attendant helps shape members’ shopping experiences by providing a welcoming first and last impression. The role involves retrieving, organizing, and stocking carts and flatbeds; assisting members with transporting and loading purchases into their vehicles; operating cart retrieval equipment; and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept parking lot and exterior environment. Associates provide friendly service, identify members who need assistance, answer questions, promote Sam’s Club products, services, and memberships, and follow safety and merchandise-handling procedures. The position is active and outdoors, with work in all weather conditions and extended periods on one’s feet. This is an opportunity to join the founding team at the new Katy club and help establish its member experience and culture. Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the availability of carts and flatbeds for members.
- Assist members with transporting and loading purchases into their vehicles.
- Operate cart retrieval equipment according to company policies and procedures.
- Identify members who need help, engage them, and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Maintain parking lot cleanliness and a safe, well-kept exterior environment.
- Conduct safety sweeps, follow procedures for handling merchandise, and correct and report unsafe situations to management.
- Maintain equipment and ensure carts and flatbeds are organized and stocked in the correct locations.
- Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
- Provide customer service across the club as needed and answer members’ questions.
- Promote Sam’s Club products, services, and memberships during member interactions.
