About The Position

As a Cafe Associate at the new Sam's Club in Katy, Texas, you will help create a welcoming cafe and a positive experience for members. The role involves preparing and serving food, monitoring freshness and food safety, stocking displays, and supporting a fast-paced, high-volume cafe. As part of the founding team, you will help establish the club's culture and service standards.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Complete required job training and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.
• Passion for food preparation and customer service.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized while handling multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to item specifications, planning for daily production, mass production, and seasonal needs.
• Follow food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, Cold Chain compliance, and inventory management practices.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, maintain quality and date controls, and reduce waste.
• Use hand-held technology to make decisions about production, ordering, and product quality.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving issues.
• Support receiving club pick-up orders and stock displays using appropriate containers and packaging.
• Keep the cafe clean, sanitized, and ready for members.
• Operate, maintain, and safely sanitize equipment.
