About The Position

Sam’s Club is hiring a Member Assist Cart Attendant for its new Baytown, Texas club. As part of the founding team, the attendant helps create a welcoming member experience from the parking lot onward. The role involves retrieving and organizing carts and flatbeds, helping members transport and load purchases into vehicles, maintaining a clean and safe exterior, and operating cart retrieval equipment according to company procedures. Attendants provide friendly service, promote Sam’s Club products and memberships, and identify and report unsafe situations. The position is physically active, involves working outdoors in all weather, and requires standing for extended periods. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is required.

The position offers an hourly wage range of $16.00 to $24.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the availability of carts and flatbeds for members.
• Assist members with transporting and loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Operate cart retrieval equipment according to company policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify members who need assistance, engage them, and provide friendly service.
• Maintain parking lot cleanliness and a safe, well-kept exterior environment.
• Conduct safety sweeps; follow merchandise-handling procedures; and correct and report unsafe situations to management.
• Maintain equipment and ensure carts and flatbeds are organized and stocked in the correct locations.
• Promote Sam’s Club products, services, and memberships during member interactions.
• Smile, greet, and thank members, and answer their questions or provide customer service across the club as needed.
