About The Position

Sam’s Club is hiring a Member Assist Cart Attendant for its new Katy, Texas location. The attendant helps create a positive member experience by providing a friendly first and last impression, keeping carts and flatbeds available, assisting members with purchases and vehicle loading, and maintaining a clean and safe parking lot and exterior. The role is active and primarily outdoors, with work in all weather conditions and frequent time on one’s feet. Associates also operate cart retrieval equipment, follow safety and merchandise-handling procedures, maintain equipment, and promote Sam’s Club products, services, and memberships. The position offers the opportunity to join the founding team of a new club and develop a career through training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

Organize carts and flatbeds and maintain their availability for members.
Help members transport and load purchases into their vehicles.
Operate cart retrieval equipment according to company policies and procedures.
Identify members who need assistance, engage them, and provide friendly, helpful service.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept parking lot and exterior environment.
Conduct safety sweeps, follow merchandise-handling procedures, and correct or report unsafe situations to management.
Maintain equipment and keep carts and flatbeds organized and stocked in the correct locations.
Promote Sam’s Club products, services, and memberships during member interactions.
Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
Provide customer service across the club as needed and answer members’ questions.
