About The Position

Ryobi Die Casting Inc. is seeking dependable Melt Operators with fork truck experience. The role operates melting furnaces and transfers molten metal to holding furnaces using a fork truck equipped with a rotating ladle. Operators follow well-defined processes and maintain a safety-first mindset. The work takes place in a hot environment similar to a foundry. The position also provides an opportunity to learn to operate and maintain 3500-ton die cast machines.

Requirements

• Fork truck experience.
• Work in manufacturing plant conditions, including exposure to dirt, fumes, noise, and cleaning chemicals.
• Walk regularly.
• Ability to lift and move 40–80 pounds.
• Regularly kneel, squat, or work in otherwise uncomfortable positions.
• Stand and bend for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previously certified fork truck experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Transfer molten metal to holding furnaces.
• Melt re-melt, sows, ingot, and molten as directed.
• Unload molten metal trucks.
• Pour and pull ladles as directed.
• Prepare sows for charging.
• Unload raw materials.
• Prepare sow lists.
• Assist in the repair of furnaces and furnace doors.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
