About The Position
Fair Oaks Estates is a locally owned and operated assisted living and memory care community for older adults with dementia. The 63-bedroom gated community is located on four acres in Carmichael, California. The Medication Technician will dispense medications to residents and oversee care and medication needs in the Memory Care Wing. The role involves coordinating with the resident care director, following medication guidelines and ensuring resident care is delivered and documented according to assessments. The position is an immediate hire for the right candidate and offers hourly compensation of USD 16.90–USD 18.00.
Requirements
- Previous Medication Technician experience is required.
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supervisor or management experience.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the resident care director about resident changes, medication updates, and related matters.
- Ensure the department remains compliant with Title XXII requirements.
- Follow medication guidelines provided during medication training.
- Pull and pour medications and assist residents with taking them.
- Ensure resident care is provided according to assessments and document care.
- Assist with medication-room tasks.
- Assist with and manage resident emergencies.
- Help on the floor as a caregiver when necessary.
