About The Position

Spring Arbor of Albemarle is hiring a Medication Technician to support residents in its Assisted Living community. The role provides medication assistance in accordance with state guidelines and helps residents with daily living activities. The Medication Technician works under the guidance of the Resident Care Director and communicates with the Resident Services team to support continuity of care. The position also involves resident activities and friendly, service-oriented interactions with residents, associates, and visitors. The employer lists full-time and part-time opportunities, with pay starting at $16.40 per hour and potentially higher depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Current Medication Training certification.
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
• Willingness to comply with the drug-free workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• CNA or NA license/certification in good standing, where applicable by state.
• CPR and First Aid certification, preferred or as required by state.
• Experience with computerized resident documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Approach encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with medications as permitted under state guidelines.
• Help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in and help lead resident activities.
• Provide friendly, courteous service with resident satisfaction as a priority.
