NOC Medication Technician
About The Position
Brookdale is hiring a Medication Technician for the NOC shift. Based on state regulations and required training or certification, the role administers medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider or assists residents with self-administration, while observing and reporting responses to a supervisor. The technician also helps maintain an organized, clean medication supply room, supports medication cart audits, counts medications accurately, and coordinates medication deliveries with pharmacies. Requirements
- Complete the training or certification required by applicable state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by a health care provider, in accordance with state regulations and required training or certification.
- Observe and report residents’ responses to medication and treatments to a supervisor.
- Keep the medication supply room organized and clean.
- Assist with medication cart audits and provide accurate medication counts.
- Communicate with pharmacies to coordinate medication delivery.
