About The Position

The Medication Technician in Assisted Living at Heritage Greens delivers quality care by encouraging resident independence and supporting each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. This is a full-time third-shift position, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with work every other weekend. Compensation is $18.50 or more per hour, depending on experience. A Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) or PCA and a MedTech certificate are required.

Requirements

• Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) or PCA and a MedTech certificate are required.
• Completion of a nursing assistant course.
• Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications.
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required.
• High school education or GED equivalent preferred.
• Bring a smile to work every day.
• Be a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with simple requests as needed.
• Supervise or assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities.
• Provide companionship and develop strong relationships with residents.
• Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
• Document care provided to residents.
• Provide input to help ensure resident individual service plans are current.
• Regularly review the 24-hour report and care checklists.
