About The Position

At Sunrise Senior Living, the Medication Care Manager helps residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. The role is critical to preventing medication errors, identifying health changes early, and protecting resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance. The Medication Care Manager administers medications and treatments according to physician orders, documents medication and treatment activity, observes residents, reports concerns, completes narcotic counts, and maintains medication areas in accordance with safety and infection-control standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Medication Administration certification.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
Document accurately and in real time in the MAR/TAR.
Observe residents during and after medication passes.
Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
Promptly report medication refusals or concerns.
Complete narcotic counts according to policy.
Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
Follow infection-control and safety standards.
